8.5 Maintenance or appropriate enhancement of protective functions in
forest management (notably soil and water).
8.5.5 The construction of roads, bridges and other infrastructure shall
be carried out in a manner that minimizes bare soil exposure, avoids the
introduction of soil into watercourses and preserves the natural level and
function of water courses and river beds. Proper road drainage facilities shall
be installed and maintained.
Preparation of possible information:
In the process of
infrastructure construction, the disturbance to the soil should be reduced as
much as possible, to avoid soil erosion, measures should be taken to prevent
the soil from entering the water body during the construction process,
affecting the water quality, and maintaining the natural water level and
function of the waterway, avoiding changing the direction of water flow or
causing water siltation, and at the same time establishing an effective
drainage system to prevent rainwater from washing the soil. Therefore,
organizations should prepare the following data:

Provide construction
plans, including design drawings, construction processes, soil and water
conservation measures for roads, bridges and other facilities.
2.
Provide construction
impact assessment or ecological audit report, especially the impact on the
water and soil environment.
