managers to do completely different things to get certified? Let's dive into
PEFC and see what it takes to get certified. For more information, please refer

traditional knowledge, innovations and practices such as those of forest

the benefits arising from the utilization of such knowledge shall be

Preparation of possible information:
Forest management should
respect and draw on the traditional knowledge and experience of forest owners,
local communities, non-governmental organizations and indigenous peoples, which
is often accumulated over a long period of time and has unique value for forest
management. Encourage the introduction of new technologies and methods in
forest management to improve efficiency and sustainability. The benefits of
using traditional knowledge and innovation should be shared equitably to
encourage greater participation and cooperation.
Therefore, organizations should prepare the following data:
1.
Provide records of the
collection and application of local traditional knowledge or social value
assessment reports, e.g. interview records, traditional knowledge manuals, etc.
2.
Provide records of the
introduction of new technologies or new products, such as test results of
essential oils, extracts, etc.
3. Provide a detailed description of the benefit-sharing mechanism, such as how the benefits will be distributed, how participants will participate in decision-making, etc.
4. Provide community engagement plan or procedure on how to work with local communities and indigenous peoples to co-manage forests.
