8.4維護、保護和適當增強森林生態系統中的生物多樣性

8.4.10 The tending and harvesting operations shall be conducted in a way that does not cause lasting damage to ecosystems. Wherever possible, practical measures shall be taken to maintain or improve biological diversity.

8.4.10 應以不對生態系統造成持久損害的方式進行撫育和採伐操作。在可能的情況下，應採取可行的措施來維持或改善生物多樣性。

可能資料的整備：

       在進行撫育和採伐作業時，應盡可能減少對土壤、水源、野生動物棲息地等生態要素的破壞。應採取措施保護和增強森林的生物多樣性，例如保留老樹、枯木、以及重要的生態棲地。

       When tending and harvesting operations, the damage to ecological elements such as soil, water sources, and wildlife habitats should be minimized as much as possible. Measures should be taken to protect and enhance forest biodiversity, such as the preservation of old trees, dead wood, and important ecological habitats.

Therefore, organizations should prepare the following data:

1.         Provide a detailed tending and harvesting plan that describes how, when, where, etc., to comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.

2.         Provide an environmental impact assessment report to assess the potential impact of the operation on the ecosystem.

3.     Provide monitoring data to demonstrate the impact of operations on biodiversity.
