6.3.4 Health, safety and working conditions健康、安全和工作條件

6.3.4.3 Wages of local and migrant forest workers as well as of contractors and other operators operating in PEFC-certified areas shall meet or exceed at least legal, industry minimum standards or, where applicable, collective bargaining agreements.

Note: Where wages are below the living wage of a country, steps should be taken to attain increased wages towards a living wage level over time in addition to increases for inflation.

6.3.4.3 PEFC驗證區域內作業的當地和移徙森林工人,以及承包商和其他運營者的工資應至少符合法律、行業最低標準或適用的集體協議。

備註:如果工資低於國家的生活工資水平,應逐步採取措施提高工資至達到生活工資水平,並且應考慮通脹的增加。

可能資料的整備:

       組織內之當地和移徙森林工人以及在 PEFC 驗證區域內運營的承包商和其他經營者的工資,都應該獲得至少法定或行業最低工資。或在適用的情況下,應符合協議規定。

因此組織應準備以下資料:

  1. 提供支付員工、勞工的工資符合法定或協議標準的工資紀錄/證明,例如:薪資單、工資支付證明、工資結構說明等。
  2. 提供明確規定工資待遇的勞動契約。
  3. 如果存在集體協議,提供相關文件。
  4. 如果工資低於生活工資,提供相關的評估報告和改善計畫。

PEFC and FSC are the two biggest names in forest certification. So, what's the difference between these two systems? Are they asking forest managers to do completely different things to get certified? Let's dive into PEFC and see what it takes to get certified:

Preparation of possible information:

       Local and migrant forest workers within the organization, as well as contractors and other operators operating in PEFC-certified areas, should be paid at least the statutory or industry minimum wage, where applicable, in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement.

Therefore, the organization should prepare the following data:

1.        Provide wage records/certificates that pay employees and workers in accordance with statutory or agreed standards, such as: pay stubs, proof of wage payment, description of wage structure, etc.

2.        Provide a labor contract which clearly stipulates the salary and benefits.

3.        If there is a collective agreement, provide the relevant documents.

4.     If the wage is lower than the living wage, provide relevant appraisal reports and improvement plans.
