PEFC(Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification,森林驗證認可計畫)與FSC (Forest Stewardship Council,森林經營委員會),同為全球兩大森林驗證系統。
6.2 Management plan
6.2.4 The annually allowable use of non-wood forest products shall be
included in the management plan where forest management covers commercial use
of non-wood forest products at a level which can have an impact on their
long-term sustainability.

PEFC
and FSC are the two biggest names in forest certification. So, what's the
difference between these two systems? Are they asking forest managers to do
completely different things to get certified? Let's dive into PEFC and see what
it takes to get certified:
6.2 Management plan
6.2.4 The annually allowable use of non-wood forest products shall be
included in the management plan where forest management covers commercial use
of non-wood forest products at a level which can have an impact on their
long-term sustainability.
Preparation of possible information:
If there are other
commercially valuable non-wood forest products (e.g. medicinal plants, edible
fungi, wild animals, etc.) in the forest in addition to timber, and the amount
of these products collected may affect their long-term growth and regeneration,
then the management plan must clearly specify the amount of these non-wood
forest products that can be collected each year.
The organization should be
able to prepare the following data:
1. List all commercially valuable non-tree forest products in the forest and assess the current use of the non-wood forest products, including the amount of collection, collection methods, impacts on ecosystems, etc.
2. Analysis of historical data to develop a plan for the use of non-wood forest products, including the definition of collection season and collection method, limits on collection (i.e., determining the annual allowable amount of collection for each non-wood forest product and explaining how this figure is calculated), ecological restoration measures, and monitoring of the resource status of non-wood forest products and changes in ecosystems.
